YOU HAVE BEEN PHISHED!

Phishing is a form of social engineering and scam where attackers deceive people into revealing sensitive information or installing malware such as ransomware

Phishing attack trends

Phishing is the single most common form of cyber crime. An estimated 3.4 billion emails a day are sent by cyber criminals, designed to look like they

come from trusted senders.
Around 36% of all data breaches involve phishing.

How to protect yourself

Watch out for suspicious URL links sent in emails and messages that are made to look like the correct URL.
Educating yourself about common phishing scams can help diminish the threat of phishing attacks by enforcing secure practices. For more information, you can visit this link from PDPC: https://www.pdpc.gov.sg/help-and-resources/2021/10/protecting-yourself-from-spam-and-scam

Prevention methods

Two-factor authentication is the most effective method for countering phishing attacks. It adds an extra layer of protection and it prevents the use of compromised credentials since those alone are insufficient for entry.
